Organizational Description
Established in 2013 in the wake of senseless violence, increasing obesity rates and below academic level rates, Give Back 2 Kids Educational Youth Services is a social service partner and community outreach Agency on the Treasure Coast serving the needs of families at risk throughout the Treasure Coast. We collaborate with neighborhood small business owners and non-profit organizations to help combat the violence, combat childhood obesity and increase student educational capacity in our city through educational, human anatomy and violence awareness with parents and children within the at risk communities of the Treasure Coast.
Mission
Provide viable Educational Enrichment, Sport Enrichment, Entertainment and Community Awareness to fight child hood obesity and early symptoms of diabetes so that parents and kids are able to have an enjoyable safe community free of violence and full of educational enrich activities to create more law abiding citizens for at-risk students of Treasure Coast.
Organizational History
Give Back 2 Kids Inc (Gb2k Education and Sports Agency) was established in 2013 by James Monds(Educational Administrator) with the idea that we can change a community that is saturated with low-performing inner city youth, high rates of violence and an increasing number of students with obesity which contributes to early diabetes because of cuts in the extra-curricular activities in our community. We decided to start an educational and sports development program for youths in which we have initiated summer extended summer camps and sporting programs such as Flag Football Co-Ed, Rising Freshman All-Star Game, College Mini Camps, Student of the Year Programs, Track and Field as well as other educational and athletic events. The focus of all of our programs is designed to help students whose parents are living within the realm of poverty continue to have multiple ways year around to keep our babies involved and surrounded around mentors to help as a resource. With the assistance of our grantors and donations, we are able to provide a very high order of programs to the community youth in our area who are struggling or at risk at a very nominal price in which their parents play a part in their success and development but our community youth are not hindered due to lack of financial resources.
